What the revised schedule confirms
The organizer moved India–South Africa from its original 6 October slot to the evening of 10 October. The revised listing puts the fixture at Sharjah, not Dubai. WCL now lists 18 games in the six-team competition, and its match centre marks this pairing scheduled; it is not a completed result.
India opened with a 46-run win over Australia and then lost to England by 21 runs. South Africa’s sole completed match in the six-game snapshot was a 97-run win over West Indies. Season squad lists are useful background, but neither team’s playing XI nor the toss is confirmed for 10 October.
Why the points table matters
As checked on 8 October, India and South Africa had two points each, but South Africa had played one fewer completed match and held the higher net run rate. England led on four points. The 9 October fixtures are due before India–South Africa and may change that table, so this is a dated pre-match snapshot rather than a claim about the eventual stakes.
